BIOGRAPHY Jamirae has been a singer/performer since the day she was born. Hailing out of Arizona, Jamirae spent most of her adolescence finding ways to perform in front of crowds. She entered her first school talent show at the young age of 13, singing with a pianist. Her rendition of "The Rose" brought the house down and right there at that moment, Jamirae realized that this was what she was meant to do. The following years of High School had Jamirae entering and winning many Pageants, including ARIZONA ROYAL MISS TALENT. This gave her the opportunity to travel and perform all around her area in front of big crowds at Country Fairs, Festivals and block parties. In 1995, she was able to sing before ALAN JACKSON at Country Thunder in Queen Creek, AZ. All this was the starting point that gave Jamirae the experience, desire and drive to continue on her path to creating and performing her own music. In 1996, Jamirae was invited to sing at an amateur night at the GRAND OLE OPRY. This was an exciting moment. Being on the same stage where all of the great icons have played like Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, June Carter Cash, and Hank Williams was everyone's dream and this was coming true for Jamirae. She sang a Patsy Cline song called "Sweet Dreams" which was probably one of the most appropriate songs she could have performed that night. Offers came in from from various record companies, including a deal from Europe. But the deals never fit what Jamirae saw for herself and how her career should be. Things will be done on her own terms. She's had many call backs from the TV show Nashville Star, and has continued to push forward with her dream of entertaining. Now hailing out of Branson, Missouri, Jamirae joined myspace and met up with producer Dan Legault from Canada, who helped arrange, produce and play on her song "How Do I Tell My Heart". After working well together with that one song, they both decided that an album had to be recorded! Dan teamed up with songwriter/musician extraordinaire Peter Grant and began to put together songs for Jamirae. Jamirae's debut album 'Gotta Find a Way' is now available on CDbaby.com and iTunes. |
